Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser when you visit a website. They let the site remember information about your visit, such as whether you are signed in.
2. Cookies We Use
WOWtchy uses only functional cookies — the ones needed to keep you signed in and remember the streaming services you follow. We do not use advertising, marketing, or analytics/tracking cookies.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-<project-ref>-auth-token (split into -auth-token.0, .1, … when large) | Supabase (authentication) | Keeps you signed in — stores your authenticated session, including the access and refresh tokens. | Session-managed: refreshed automatically while you stay signed in, cleared when you sign out. |
| user_providers_<COUNTRY> | WOWtchy | Remembers which streaming services you selected, per region, to personalise results. | 24 hours. |
| hidden_shared_matches_<user-id> | WOWtchy | Remembers which Watch Together shared playlists you chose to hide from your list. | Up to 1 year. |
3. Analytics and Tracking Cookies
We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
No data about your browsing behaviour is collected for advertising or shared with analytics platforms.
4. Managing Cookies
The authentication cookie is required to sign in — without it you cannot use any signed-in feature. The preference cookies are not required to browse: if you block or clear them, WOWtchy simply detects your language and region again from your browser and connection on each visit and forgets choices such as your selected streaming services. Most browsers let you view and delete individual cookies via their privacy or developer settings.
5. Changes to This Policy
If we introduce advertising, marketing, or analytics cookies in the future, this policy will be updated and we will ask for your consent before setting them.
